Is it do-able to raise the limit for image posting to 800px wide?
I understand if it'd be a pain in the arse and not possible/too time consuming etc
just a shame to see so many great images coming from events, but you can only view them at 500px, and really struggle to see much detail in the image!

Charlie,
I don't see a technical reason why not, I think it was set so the pages weren't streched, however if you can post one here so I can see what it's like I don't have a problem changing the rule if it looks okay.

a bloody lot better at 800px, i knew from 500px that shot was crap but posting at 800 just outlined it's crappness! thanks

Well, I see no problem with 800 wide pics. I've updated the posting guidelines accordingly.
Interesting to note that we've had no reason to modify them since August 2006, so good to see the forum has run smoothly, well done guys  , a good load of members.

I should have phrased it, "except Geoff" perhaps, but no, I agree so I will make one today using an old Clover butter lid, some sellotape, a bit of bailer twine and some crayons. Where should I send it?
